WoW : firelight

Waiting on wedsday : firelight by Sophie Jordan

Summary:
With her rare ability to breathe fire, Jacinda is special even among the draki—the descendants of dragons who can shift between human and dragon forms. But when Jacinda’s rebelliousness leads her family to flee into the human world, she struggles to adapt, even as her draki spirit fades. The one thing that revives it is Will, whose family hunts her kind. Jacinda can’t resist getting closer to him, even though she knows she’s risking not only her life but the draki’s most closely guarded secret

Review: Soulstice Simon Holt

From GoodReads

It's been six months since Reggie first discovered and fought against the Vours, malicious and demonic beings that inhabit human bodies on the eve of the Winter Solstice.

The Vours still haunt Reggie, but only in her dreams-until one night, when an unexpected visitor turns her nightmares into reality.

The battle against evil continues in Soulstice, the second book in the thrilling The Devouring series, which School Library Journal called, "Comparable to books by R. L. Stine and Stephen King....A must-have for horror fans."

Soulstice was a great book, it was just the right blend of fear, suspense, and mystery. Reggie is still recovering from her time in Henry's , her brother, fearscape and the Vours are now out to get her. Her best friend Aaron is tortured by the Vours as well his fears taking over his mind. As these two friends become deeper and deeper into the Vour's world they find that they might loose everything they hold dear, even their sanity. What I love about these books is that they are so different from most YA lit. This story isn't about true love or boy loves girl, which isn't bad but sometimes change is good. I love this series because it has something to it that make you feel fear, you fear the Vours, and hope that on Sorry Night you aren't alone and scared incase they trap you in your fears.

Teaser Tuesday; Soulstice by Simon Holt

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

-Grab your current read

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
