Review: MY SOUL TO TAKE

from Good reads
She doesn't see dead people, but…
She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.

Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next…

I had been thinking about reading this book for a long time but I wasn't sure. I had thought it was about vampires, and I'm not to into most vampire books (besides Vampire Academy) but then I found out it was about the Bean Sidhe and I had to read it.

I loved the whole story from the begining with Nash and Kaylee danceing to the very end. Kaylee is a very relatable charater for me, she's not super popular but she's fun and loves her friends and would do anything for them. Nash, though he is very crush worthy and I adored him I do have to say I found Reeper Todd to be awesome. If you want a great read with amazing folklore or you just need a good read pick this up.

A very Vampire Waiting on Wendsday

Today I am mixing a review and my WOW. My review is on Rachelle Mead's rececent release in her Vampire Academy series Spirit Bound.

Synopsis

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri's birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir's—and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can't wait for their real lives beyond the Academy's iron gates to begin. But Rose's heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he's out there, somewhere.

She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. And this time he won't rest until Rose joins him . . . forever.

I love this series, one of my only favorite Vampire YA books, and I was so excited when I knew that Spirit Bound was coming out I was so excited. But sadly I'm low on money so I went into my Barnes and Nobles and sat down for four hours and read.

Spirit Bound was such a great read. Rose is back at school and Dimitri is as ... well he's as strigio Dimitri as ever. I couldn't put the book down it was amazing. I'll leave it at that because well I don't want to spoil it for any one who hasn't read it yet. But I highly reccomend it.

and Now for my WOW also by Rachelle Mead. Its the 6th Vampire Academy intitled Last Sacrifice and after reading Spirit Bound I cannot wait for its December 7th release

Waiting On Wednesday

Magic is dangerous—but love is more dangerous still.

When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.

Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What's more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own.

Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by—and torn between—two best friends: Jem, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length...everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world...and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.

*disclaimer: according to goodreads this is not the cover for City of Fallen Angels as it has not been released yet*

City of Fallen Angels takes place several months after the events of City of Glass. In City of Fallen Angels, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary's plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.

American Gods

I was really apprehensive about reading this book. I had heard so many good things about Neil Gaiman from my favorite author Melissa Marr (wicked lovely series) but I had never divulged into his works. I am so happy I read this book I loved every minute of it. Shadow was such a fun character, I loved how a book told mostly from the a point of view of a 30 something could be so intertaining to be a 20 year old. I loved the old lore's like the Norse and Egyptian. Over all it is an amazing book and I will deffently be reading more of his work ( starting with smoke and mirrors - a collection of short stories)
