The Dark and Hollow Places is the Final book in the Forest of Hands and Teeth story. The world has been taken over by Zombies, called Mudo or the Unconsecrated in this world. The return has happened and all those not infected live in fear of the infected. This story is the story of Annah, the long lost sister of Gabry (Abigail). She is a girl scared both on the outside and on the inside. She meets Catcher, the only human known to be Immune to this plaque. They form a bond, both of them seeing themselves as less than they are and together they are able to realize their strengths. The Book like those before it had a sense of Sadness and fear that makes these books unique. What I love about all of Carrie Ryan's books is not just that I love Zombies or things based in the Dark but that these books show true Human Nature. How would we really react if suddenly the person next to you turned into a flesh devouring monster and you had to run for your life. How would that change as human beings? Would we be like Catcher and risk our own lives everyday to provide and help those we could or would we be like the Recruiters and become nothing more than Killers with minds? It is an interesting thing to think about. I love these books, even if you don't like horror i would read these books. Carrie Ryan is amazing

Review:

Wow! City of Fallen Angels was a rush of excitement! The book centers mostly around the character of Simon, and I could not have been happier. I am a huge Simon fan and it was so wonderful to see more of him in this book. The new characters that came into the story, like Kyle, were great and I loved the banter between Jace and Simon. I laughed out loud at times. I have to say that Clary still annoys me BUT I loved Jace in this book. He was still cocky and arrogant but I found him to not be so hateable in this time around. Though seeing Jace so vulnerable and scared as odd for me and when I found out why I was in great shock. Alec and Magnus weren't in the book as much as I would have liked but the moments they were in it were great. They had issues in their relationship but I find their love to be very real and I love them ^_^

The ending of this book was amazing! I was screaming at the book, I am dying for the next book in the series. May 2012 cannot come quickly enough!

Like Many before me the first introduction to gay and lesbian characters in YA Lit was in Holly Black’s Tithe. I remember being in thrilled by Corny and found his and Naphemel’s relationship to be reviting and so interesting. I have always been an open minded person and from then on started to read as many GLBT books and I could, partly for my own mixed thoughts about myself. In the beginning I was wondering why Ava wanted to change so much, why she wanted to conform to “normal”. She goes to a new school, and gets new friends, even tries to date a boy, Ethan. The goal of Ava the entire book is to become what she thinks is normal, and normal girls wear pink and like boys, right? That’s what is going through Ava’s mind. When Ava decided she needed a boyfriend, Ethan, I could not understand why. Ethan had nothing going for him other than the fact that he was a hot boy. Now Sam, Sam I really liked he was funny and cynical. The whole Screws were amazing, Sam, Kobe, Jules, Jacob, and Jen. By the end of the book I hated Chloe; she became the biggest bully of the story and showed the change that happened in Ava. I said above that this was a story for everyone and it is. Pink shows that no matter what you need to be true to yourself and don’t allow anyone else to tell you what NORMAL is.

The Marbury Lens by Andrew Smith was a book reccomended to me by one of my good friend of mine. I read the book in 2 days. I found the book to be engaging and extreamly interesting. Jack and Conner were two very cool characters. I liked the contrasted between their characters how Jack is the more reserved and shy one while Conner is the loud and out going one. The plot was fast paced from the very beggining. Had I not been told what happened to Jack in the begging I never would have seen it coming. I love how each character grows and changes. This is a book all should read, boys and girls

I am still reeling from the last installment in Melissa Marr's Faerie Series. I started reading Wicked Lovely, because of something I read on a forum. I picked up the first two books and devoured them. I joined the Rath and Ruins in Aug of 2009 and in doing so I met many great and wonderful people. And even though I am no longer on the Rath I will never regret meeting the people I connected with: Leaf, Amber, Vicky, Lis, Xero, Lily, Euri, Kael, Luz, Heather, Shady and all those whom I connected with In the Dark Court and anybody else that I might have missed. I love you all :)

Now for my review
I felt Darkest Mercy wrapped everything up perfectly, though I loved how there could be more to the story if Melissa Marr choose to continue. My opinion on many characters changed so much, I found myself liking Keenan in this book. And I even found myself crushing on Tavish, I know Tavish!. I am so so excited about the events that go on in the Dark Court. I was the most enthralled by the events that took place. I loved Niall in this book, for spoiler reasons I am going to keep silent about why! But I was so happy about the way things worked out in this book. Melissa wrapped up the series beautifully. I have no issues with how the series ended.

Review:
I will admit I only read I am Number Four because of the movie being released tomorrow. But I am very happy that I have read this book. I am not normally into Science fiction but I very much enjoyed this book. I liked John he was a cool and funny character. He felt real to me despite being an alien he was almost human. Sarah was great as well she is a great female character and Sam made me laugh. And The Dog! I love the dog! The Plot of this book was great, fast paced and yet slows at the same time. It was a great flow I felt, the story flowed together and made me WANT to keep reading. I am very excited for the movie, going to go see it tomorrow if I can. Review of the movie coming as well

Review:
The Zombie war is over and the surviors are telling there story. I found this book to be one of the most interesting I have read in along time. The way it is written, from the Points of View of then men and woman who survived and fought the Zombie war was great. I sometimes felt like these accounts were real. if you are a Zombie fan World War Z is a must read.

We all know the story of Little Red Riding Hood, it is a classic tail that has caputered readers for centuries. Written in the first voulme of Grimm Faerie tales in 1812 this story has been adapted into many different ways and still capitvates us today. There us even a movie directed by Twilight Director Cathereine Hardwicke
The movie has Amanda Seyfried as Little Red (Valerie) and Gary Oldman as the Hunter (Gary Oldman Fangirl sqee) the movie is set to be released march of this year.

But the real reason behind this post is the beautiful art work of Daniel Egne'us. Below is some pictures I took of the book, when I saw it in Barnes and Nobles yesterday. The art work is beautiful and elgant I love the water color look to it. If you haven't had a chance to pick this book up I highly recomend that you take a look at it.

Suicide is one of the hardest subject to talk about for any person. I have known and spoken to people who have contemplated suicide, even I have had such thoughts. I can bet that half of us, whether we know it or not, know someone who has thought about suicide. Suicide is never the answer but that period of time where you feel like death is the only answer is something that can dig into your brain and take a hold of you. I speak from experience when I say these things, I sometimes feel like the world and those I know are better without me. It’s when I remember the fun times with friends, both in Real Life and on line that I remember something important. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, as cliché as that sounds, I believe it is true. I read this book “By the Time You Read This I’ll Be Dead” and cried. I have had the thoughts this girl has had and felt like it was the only answer. Her silence throughout the book was sort how I am. I would rather not speak sometimes. I recommend this book to anyone who has ever had suicidal thoughts or to someone who has known someone. I have to say this: suicide is never the answer, talk to someone even if it’s just a friend. Friends I’ve found over these past months can really save your life.

Omg. This Manga was ...interesting. It has 2 stories in it. First off the Story is Yaoi (meaning Boy/Boy) I have to say I hated the first Story. Akio and Ryo were dispicable. Ryo cries way to much and its all about a pity party for him. He ends up stabbing Akio for not being with him and rapes him. And Akio takes him back! ... the second story was better. A boy has a one night stand with another boy and they fall in love. But with the first story I cannot say I like this story. At all.

Vampire Knight Series by Matsuri Hino

Well I have fininished the series of Vampire Knight (Minus Volume 12)

This is the first Manga that I have read and I highly enjoyed it. The story of Yuki, Zero, and Kaname is something that I can go back and read over and over. and I give you My Favorite Twins!!! *Kiss Kiss* I will go through each character that really stood out to me.

Yuki Cross:

Yuki is great! I love that she is so tiny but kicks so much ass!

Zero Kiryu:

Zero is my favorite of the entire series, I loved watching his eternal struggle as a Vampire Hunter turning Vampire.

Kaname Kuran:

Kaname, is my least favorite. I actually find his obbession with Yuki kind of freaky o.O

Ichiru Kiryu: Zero's Twin is one of those character that seems terrible but he became someone that I really liked. (So Much so that the Twins made it as the main picture for this Post ^_^)

Yori: Yori was a good friend to Yuki, I like how she never pesters Yuki but she still does what she can for her

Kain (Wild): Kain is sexy! He's wild but still has this calmness that I love

AIDO!!! So yes I love me some Aido! He is by Far my Number ONE! More so than even Zero. I love his happy go lucky character and the loyalty he has for Kaname.

Shiki: I felt very badly for Shiki, what happens to him was not something he deserved and he was just being himself never really making trouble. He just wants to sleep

Rido: CRREEEEEPPPYYYYYYYYY

Review: Perfection!! This 10 chapter short story was amazing. I have been waiting for this for years now, ever since I found out about it on the Rath. The Story takes place right after INK and partly during Fragile Eternity. The Story is told from the points of view or Irial, Niall, and Sorcha. Niall has recently become the Dark King and he is trying to come to terms with what that means. I loved how bad ass Niall was, espcially when he is fighting the Hounds (and then Irial.. then the fight with Devlin). Irial was as sexy and loveable as ever! The revelation that Irial has an a relationship or sorts with the high queen is very... interesting. I loved how Irial was trying everything he could to move the pieces of the Dark Court in order to coset Niall. Niall and Irial's "tension" in the story was very sexy. I loved how Irial was trying to get Niall to have sex with someone, and how he hinted it should be him. Seeing Niall's relationship with Siobhan was great as well. Over all the story was beautiful, funny, and over all just amazing. Any Fan of Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely Series will be enthralled by Old Habbits!

Review: The 2nd instalment of Vampire knight is just as good as the first. Zero is becoming a vampire and could become a Level E and go insane. I like how Yuki is willing to help him but I still don't like Kaname that much. I was happy to see more of Aido and "Wild" those two cousins are pretty funny.

Review: I have seen the Anime for Vampire Knight and I have always wanted to read the Manga. So when I saw a box set of vampire night for 45$ I had to get it. Volume one was just as good as the Anime if not better. I read this in a day and again fell in love with all the characters. I love Zero's past and his humor mixed in with his self loathing. Yuki is a strong lead and while she is vulnerable to the vampires she still holds up a sense of confidence. Kaname is well I still don't much like him, but I'm hoping by reading the Manga that he'll grow on me. and now on to Volume 2

The ending to the Good Neighbors is freaky, fun, and filled with human eating Lake Faeries o.O and who doesn't love that, huh? ;)

Wow! this time tomorrow It will be 2011.. wierd huh?
This has been one roller coaster or a year. I've meet some amazing and wonderful people and felt that sting of Love. I've cried and laughed. Got two Tattoos :D I went to Faeriecon and saw Faun live and danced my faerie heart out!
and read some amazing books, the best being: Luna, ClockWork Angel, Radiant Shadows, Wildthorn.
I had days that I hated this year, days that made me want to go insane and cry. I had days and many nights of pure unadulterated bliss and happiness and I will never forget those that brought me happiness and I will forget those that have hurt me. Its a new year coming and a new begining.
get ready for more reviews and more give aways... and maybe i'll be at BEA? Maybe.. I don't know its a possibility

This is another one of those book that I have read before but wasn't paying attention to the first time.This time I really paid attention to what was going on and in that I found a beautiful, although sad story. We all know what its like wanting to be someone else, me personally I sometimes can't stand ME. The person I am and sometimes you/I wish I could jump forward and become that person I want. But for Liam its not so simple. His struggles seen through Regan's eyes is sad and heart breaking. I wonder how the book would have been if it had been from his point of view? what would his thoughts have been like? was he crushing on anyone? and what happens to him after he leaves? I don't normally cry in books but I did twice in this. In the story there are many flash backs of Regan and Liam and in this one they are at a pool part. Liam gets upset that he has a penis and begs one of Regan's friends to "take it off". His mother takes him away and soon its obvious that he literally tried to "take it off" and is rushed to the hospital. I cried here because how do you change you when the you, you want to be is another gender? when at such a young age you realize you aren't this person that you were born wrong? The other time was at the end when Liam now Luna leaves. Seeing that closeness between Luna and Regan and how they truelly are devoted to each other was heart warming but I felt sad that Luna had to leave. Even though she would be better off. I felt this story is one of the strongest and best book in YA literature. Its a must read book, doesn't matter if your Trans, Gay, Bi, Lesbian, Straight, or A-sexual you should accept a person as they are and love them no matter what your views are.

Review: I have recently remembered my love for this series and Last Sacrifice devlivered yet again. I loved the entire book. It was a roller coaster of emotions; some that made me laugh, cry, and want to scream "WTF" I won't spoil anything for anyone but finding out who killed the Queen was a major shock to me, I did not see that one coming. Dimitri was as Bad Ass sex god as ever and made me love him even more. I felt bad for Adrian though, he didn't deserve that :(
over all it was a great book and I can't wait for the spin off series with Jill

- I got this book as a gift from and friend and it was one of the first books I have been able to finish in a while. This is a book that every woman needs to read. We seem to take for granted the freedom us women have in today's world. Especially in America. We can become doctors, lawyers, jobs that were previously "male" jobs. We don't have to fear being locked away in an asylum and called crazy because we read books. Louisa was a strong character that I came to love and respect. She was able to stay strong and hold on in even the most hellish of situations. The bathroom scene made me sick. One other thing I liked was that we Louisa's sexuality is shown but its not made into a big deal, its just shown as who she is and that she isn't crazy because she feels this way about Eliza. This book might have gone into my top three favorite books, Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr being number one.

Review:
A few months ago I tried to re-read the Mortal Instrument Series by Cassandra Clare and frankly I couldn’t get through it. I think it’s the fact that I really hate Clary and Jace. I know, I hate Jace… what am I thinking?! But when Clockwork Angel came out I decided to give it a chance. I’m happy I did.
Tessa is an amazing lead, she is strong and witty. I love that Cassandra is not afraid to put Tessa in sticky situations. Tessa can fight, she’s selfless and unlike most YA heroines she doesn’t need the big strong strapping man at all times. Will and Jem are, well …. Amazingly delicious I have to say. Jem, I always love the boy who has a dark past but still comes out of it with a good heart. (Besides the fact that James is my favorite male name) And Will, oh Will how I love thee let me count the ways. Now how can I love Will and not Jace? (I don’t even know I just do) I am very curious as to what happened to Will in his past, what made him the way he is? He fascinates me, and I can’t wait to find out more. I highly recommend this book, whether you liked TMI or not, it’s a great read.

I really don't know what to say about this book, I liked it but at the same time I thought it was lacking. I felt bad for Alex, an alcholic mother and "slutty" father are not good things to have in your life. I liked the interactiosn between Fred and Adina and how they seemed to be one person before Alex came into the picture. I found Adina's jelousy to be very intersting and what she does to try and stake her claim...WOW! O.o but this is where I have my issue with this book: The Ending. It just ends, theres this huge event where Adina ends up in the hospital but nothing is ever really resolved between her and Alex. We just asume that things are going to be okay. I was actually in shock when it was over.
so I'd give this a B-

This is the second time I am reading this book, in light of recent events and "Speak Loudly". The first time I read this book, I wasn't really paying attention. The second time I saw just how amazing this book really was, and how we need to have more books like it. Any person who has ever felt silenced or afraid to speak can relate to Melinda and her struggle for her voice. This book is not graphic, or porn, and should be more respected as it does what most books do not. It is truthful and hard to read at times, a book that will keep you up late at night thinking about it.

I won this ARC and I was very very impressed with this book. I won't give away the plot, as it comes out in October, but I loved this book. It was a nice change to see a female character that was strong but she still had a vulnerability that made her seem real. The characters are easy to realte too, even the ones that are considered to be "bitches". I want to say more but to do so would spoil the book, so I highly reccomend you all to read this book when it comes out

- I do like this series, I do, but it is not my favorite. I will start with negatives and end with the positives. Okay so, my real negatives mainly have to do with the two most popular characters in the series: Jace and Clarry. Sorry but I really do not like them. I can understand Jace at times, because of what he went through, but some times his attitude is a real turn off. He just seems to be a jerk all the time, especailly to Simon. Clarry, I feel bad for her, but she wines way to much for my licking. I kinda want her to do something about her sistuation, on her own and with out help. and the ending of this book: why didn't they kill the bad guy? I mean he's right there... they could have at least tried to kill him.
okay now for the positives. I find the fight scenes, especially the one when they go looking for the mortal cup, to be well written and thought out. They are fun to read and I can feel the suspense. Another good thing in this story is Alec and Magnus. I love them apart and together. I do like this series, and i'd read it again, but it is not the best I have read. I'd give it a B++

books I have read so far this year. When the tusnami hit Indonisia in
christmas of 2004 I could only imagine what those affected by the wave
must have felt. To loose everything you loved: family, homes, your
life. The story of Sienna, or Sea, is a story of a girl trying to find
herself. I feel that this was a story that needed to be told, as I was reading it I was reminded of what I was so fortunite to have. Every day we complain about something or another when in reality we have nothing to complain about. Heidi R. Kling has painted a beautiful picture of the Indonesia, I was able to picture the Orphange and the village that Deni and Sea drove through. I loved how during the story of a girl looking for acceptance in herself, and the slow but steady rise in confidence of orphanded children, there was a love story. Even though Deni and Sea only knew each other for a short period of time the chemistry was there. I could feel the devotion that they had for each other, and it was a bitter sweetness when they had to part. I loved that the love story, was not the main story, but that the choices that Sea made in order to become the girl she had once been. This book shows you that no matter how hard life gets, no matter how far you seem to fall, there is allways hope. I give this book an A++
and now I leave you with my favorite quote from the book, from Deni:

Linger was amazing, wow. I was not lucky enough to have bought the book, because of some stupid rule and lack of money, but I was able to read the book. I liked this book far more than Shiver, where at times I found Shiver to a bit lacking for my taste, Linger served me a large banquet of awesome werewolfiness!!!! I loved Sam in this book! He was funny and he was romantic and frankly I wouldn’t mind a boyfriend like him, and Grace I like how she was a bit stronger in this book and how she didn’t allow her parents or anyone to stop her. The fact that the tables have basically turned for Grace and Sam fascinate me, I am so curious to find out what Sam is going to do in Forever. This was a great book and if you loved Shiver (or even just liked it) I would recommend Linger- Maggie Stiefvater is a wonder woman for creating this series… especially for creating Sam; D

As these two friends become deeper and deeper into the Vour's world they find that they might loose everything they hold dear, even their sanity. What I love about these books is that they are so different from most YA lit. This story isn't about true love or boy loves girl, which isn't bad but sometimes change is good. I love this series because it has something to it that make you feel fear, you fear the Vours, and hope that on Sorry Night you aren't alone and scared incase they trap you in your fears.

Review : Anansi Boys

Anansi Boys is the story of Fat Charlie, a normal man, working a normal job, with a normal girl friend. Fat Charlie's life changes when he finds out that his father was in fact Anansi, a west African spider god, and that he has a brother named Spider. With out realizing it Fat Charlie summons his long lost brother and soon realizes the consequences when everthing starts going so very oddly.

Review: I loved this book. Neil Gaiman is a literary god amongst men. He has this ability to write humor into darkness. To make a reader laugh out loud, gasp, cry ... His ability to envoke an emotion Is amazing. Fat Charlie was funny and spider even funnier. I would recomend this book to any one!!

I found this to be a great read, the charcter Knife is strong willed and funny. She doesn't go with the norm and becomes a great little fairy. I loved that the fairy's were small and that the romance wasn't cheesy or cliched. It was over all a great book and I reccomend it to all lovers of fantasy, faeries, or well to anyone

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Synopsis:
This second book in a series "shimmering with magic, myth, and romance" (Booklist), follows sixteen-year-old Laurel as she tries to understand the cause of her twin sister's mysterious death. Honor believed in Faerie, a parallel land of mischievous immortals. Laurel doesn't. That is, until the fairies come and ask her to take up her sister's failed quest to find the Summer King, a lord who can light the midsummer fire that keeps the two worlds, human and Faerie, cleaved. Laurel must decide to help those whose cause killed her sister, and, in the process, come to believe that there is still magic-and love-in the world.

I loved this book, it was beautifully writen as Hunters Moon was.
The character Laurel changes and grows in the story and becomes an extreamly strong and dedicated young woman. Laurel is search through out Ireland to find and save the missing Summer King, and maybe save her sister at the same time. I loved Ian, how his character changes... even when he really changes. I'm so mad that I never bought the Light-Bearer's Daughter but I got it at my Library and I know I will love it.

Review: DO NOT READ THIS BOOK!!!........... alone ... at night.. on winter sostice. This book was ohhh creepy and scarey. If you want a good and I mean good freak out read the devouring. Luckly for me it wasn't winter solstice when I read this (but it was midnight in a cold basement ) or I would have been scared out of my wits. evil children always creep me out ( I haven't seen the Omen ... children of the corn.) and this was no exception... I can't wait to read Solstice (next in the series)

Review: Some books just stick with you and this will be once of those books. Melling is an amazing writer. Her details of Ireland are beautiful, I can almost see the green hills, smell the Irish sea, taste the faerie foods that would entrap me. I love how faithful she was to celtic Irish lore but that she made it come to life in her own way. Qwen was funny, and very relatable to me... we both love food lol, and I share hers and Finn's love of Faeries and Folklore. The way the book was writen was beautiful and the characters wonderful, this book is one of my all time favorites.

review: I love Holly Black's modern faerie tale series : Tithe, Vialant, and Ironside so when I heard about White Cat I was so excited but also scared. Would I love it as much as the others? Yes, I would. White Cat is fast paced, funny, at times disturbing (this is a good thing lol). Holly Black made me love some one and then later on hate their guts and it was sooo refreshing to have a male point of view. Castle was a great lead, I adored him. I also love that everyone wears gloves: its so mysterious and very sexy ;) This book is so good and I can't wait to read Red Glove (the next in the series)

review: The conclusion of This series was great. The story came to a great ending and I loved how all the characters have grown and changed since the Summoning. Each one has become their own person with their own powers and abilities. The villians badder and the love was .... lovelyer (couldn't think of a word lol) and Derek was ... even more sexy. I loved that we got to see alot more about the werewolves and about all of their powers. I highly reccomned this series to anyone who loves the supernatural, now I need to read Kelley Armstrongs adult series

Hey all I want to get your opinions on my story so here is the first chapter of my Story called:
The Brother's Montague: Falias

- it's the story of four bothers who were torn apart by greed. In this chapter you get to meet the eldest brother, Donnagan.

Chapter One
Donnagan came to a stop in front of a large door that was as red as flames and that stood out like a beacon against the pure white walls that surrounded its frame. It was a tall door rather large for the woman that resided behind its hinges. Donnagan ran his hand through his black hair that stood out against the stark whiteness of his surroundings, his movements calculated almost robotic in style. He moved with a sense of purpose almost like his body wasn’t attached to his mind. Donnagan was feared. Feared for what he had no control over.
The captive in Donnagan’s arms moved for the first time since Donnagan had captured him. Donnagan set him down. The human swayed on the spot slowly taking the hood off his head.
“Where am I?” the human asked fear evident in his voice.
“No where you need to know,” was all Donnagan said turning the human back towards the door.
The boy, he had abducted, was in his mid to late teen years and a very nice looking human, even for Donnagan’s taste. He was almost as tall as Donnagan with white blonde hair, almond brown eyes, and pouty lips.
There was no point in delaying the inevitable any longer. Donnagan pushed open the red doors and stepped inside.
“My, what took you so long?”
She was lying on her bed clearly naked under the white silk blanket. Her red hair was vibrant against the white of her skin and the white of the bed beneath her. Her lips were a rosy red, her breast formed small lumps under the silk like two rolling hills standing over a field of ice. Fiona had the demeanor of an ancient goddess. A woman who knew she was beautiful, one that knew just how to hold her body in a way that made most males want to fall at her feet.
She eyed Donnagan and beckoned him to come forward. Her eyes followed him and then feel on the male human body she had coveted and now would make hers.
“He is beautiful isn’t he,” Fiona sat up in the bed.
Donnagan looked away as the blanket feel off her milky white chest. Donnagan knew all too well what those breasts felt like; he had touched them so many times, they where soft and plump and felt good in his hand, and Donnagan hated that. Though Donnagan hated her with every fiber of his being he had to admit that the Northern Queen was a very beautiful woman.
“Get him ready for me Donny undress him for me,” Fiona whispered seductively.
Her eyes where gleaming with lust as she watched her favorite toy work.
Donnagan started with the boy’s shirt slowly pulling it up over the boy’s head.
“Hey man what gives?”
The human was fighting him but his movements where futile against Donnagan.
The boy’s pants where next. Donnagan pulled them off slowly taking his time just like Fiona wanted. He had done this same routine for her so many times during his captivity that he had learned to tune the situation out all together. The human had gone limp. Donnagan assumed that it was a defense mechanism for them. They must think that if they stayed still nothing would happen to them. The idea almost made Donnagan laugh.
Almost.
Fiona crawled to the edge of her bed. She was lying on her stomach her feet in the air her hands under her tilted head. Her eyes where alive and filled with lust as she watched Donnagan remove the boy’s boxers; wrapping his hands around the boy’s man hood.
“You play sport am I correct human?” she asked.
“Yes,” The boy gasped and he bucked his hips into Donnagan’s hands.
“What is the name of this sport you play it sounds just fascinating?”
She was playing with him, making him feel comfortable, and then like a spider to a fly she would strike.
“Foot ball,” the boy gasped.
The boy had his head on Donnagan’s shoulder, his face was flushed, his eyes glazed over with lust.
“He seems ready. Lay him on the bed,”
Donnagan obeyed his Queen. Picking up the boy and laying him on the bed.
“Now test him for me. I want to see you kiss him Donnagan, make sure he’s good enough for me,” Fiona watched as Donnagan lowered his lips to the boys.
“A good kisser isn’t he Evan?” Fiona ran a finger over Evan’s cheek.
Donnagan winced.
Evan moaned in response and bucked his hips up into Donnagan’s. Donnagan could feel his body betraying his mind, his heart as he felt pleasure rolling over his body.
Let me leave please, just let me leave.
“Let me see,” Fiona said and Donnagan lifted his face, his lips swollen.
Fiona bent over the human and examined the boy’s swollen lips tracing them with her long red nails.
“Perfect, you may go now,”
She bent over the boy to kiss Donnagan on the lips.
“Yes my Queen,”
Donnagan stood and walked back outside of the room. Closing the red doors behind him he fell against the doors letting his body slide to the floor, his head in his hands. Some times Donnagan envied the humans that came into Falias, they had a quick and painless ending to their momentary sufferings, that Donnagan would never be given.
He had not been born into Falias but into Bryn, a no man’s land between the four kingdoms, with his mother Liana and his brothers: Aiden, Arian Apollo and Dimitri. They had been a happy family living up on their secluded mountain top with no worries of the warring queens, until tragedy struck.
The day the queens arrived had been a beautiful morning. The sun was high in the sky, the birds where chirping away in the distance; the rivers that ran throughout the clearing of their home were loud with the splashing of small Fay children. Donnagan had been playing by his black horse, Aithon, when he noticed his mother talking to what he believed to be the most beautiful woman, besides his mother, he’d ever seen.
His twin, Aiden, a slightly shorter red haired blue eyed version of his one minute older brother, was playing with the mud that had collected next to the flowing stream and was molding it in his tiny hands, when he too noticed the four women.
“Who are they?”
He had stopped making his muddy pieces of art and was staring intently at the four women.
“No idea but Mama seems to like them,” Donnagan said as his mother hugged the woman in white.
Their mother gave a stifled gasp and fell to her knees, in front of the four beautiful women, her arms out stretched before her like she was begging. The woman in white merrily smiled and turned to look at Donnagan. A weird feeling come over Donnagan’s body: a feeling of pure bliss. Her elegant and sweet voice was speaking to Donnagan with such emotion and silky elegance that he looked up and met the white woman’s icy gaze.
“Come to me Donnagan, become mine own,”
Aithon neighed loudly and started to kick the dirt with his hooves, his nostrils flared, and he shook his large head back in forth in great agitation.
Donnagan didn’t realizing he had moved until he was mere inches from the woman. The woman bent down to the young boy’s level and she smiled and ran a hand over his cheek. Her hands felt like the first winters snow; cold and inviting like a lily pod floating down the stream of hope. She ran her soft but powerful hands over his white shirt and shards of her cold pierced his skin making him shiver. He looked up into her beautiful face and saw that it had changed drastically. Now her sweat smile was up turned in an evil smirk. Her eyes filled with the type of glee only someone purely evil could have.
She stood suddenly and whipped out a long silver staff pointing it at Donnagan.
“Bind his body, bind his life, to my soul forever to be my own,” her voice was like her body beautiful yet evil. Donnagan convulsed with pain as coldness, he could not explain to himself, filled his small body like a festering winter storm.
The white woman continued to speak.
“Let him grow, let him age, father of time age this child to a man that is of age,”
Wind and ice swirled around Donnagan encasing him in a tight cocoon that lifted him up into the air; cradling him in its cold embrace. He couldn’t see the world around him but he could hear his brother’s screams of terror below him and he could feel the pain. His very bones where breaking inside of his body as they grew and were misshapen. The spell molding his body, elongating it, and Donnagan could feel his mind grow and age- knowledge he didn’t understand filling his mind. The pain suddenly stopped and he was turned up right and lowered down onto the ground.
Donnagan opened his eyes.
The world was lower than he remembered and the white woman was standing before him her slight hand on her hip.
The White Queen walked around Donnagan. She examined his now strong arms and chest, he was a man now – no longer a child.
“Oh sisters isn’t he just a darling,” Fiona ran her nails along his chest for he was naked, his old clothing so small that had torn away from his body during the change.
Her sisters merely nodded.
“What have you done to me,” Donnagan gasped his voice was deep so unlike his own. He could hear his mother sob next to him.
“I have taken what is mine; you belong to me, now we must be going. I have things to which I need to attend,” the queen winked down at the sobbing woman at her feet.
“My horse,” Donnagan murmured.
“What?”
“My horse, can I please keep my horse?” Donnagan begged.
The queen looked out into the field where the black horse was staring her down, its nostrils flaring and his leg kicking up dirt.
“Call him over,” she said.
A small sense of happiness filled Donnagan.
“Aithon here boy,” Donnagan called.
The horse hesitated but came none the less to stand at Donnagan’s side.
“Let’s go home,” The queen held out her hand for Donnagan to help her onto Aithon’s back.
“I am home,” Donnagan whispered.
The queen raised her hand and struck him hard across the face.
Aiden screamed.
“Mommy do something, stop them,” Aiden yelled.
Donnagan almost sighed in relief when he heard his brother’s small child like voice. His hopes where thwarted when another queen, this one was like summer, tightened her grip on Aiden head who interned whimpered.
“This is no longer your home, I forbid you from ever speaking to your brothers.” The queen smiled wickedly and squeezed Donnagan’s cheeks together. “Understand?”
Donnagan nodded, his voice was gone.
“For sakes at least clothe him” Liana cried out.
Donnagan wanted nothing more than to hold his mother one last time and seeing her like this was more than he could bear.
The queen clapped her hands and a white shirt and grey pant covered Donnagan’s naked body. “There he’s clothed, now lead me home,”
That had been the start of Donnagan’s own personal hell. The years between then and the present seemed like an eternity. He couldn’t even remember what his mother looked like, though he could remember the sound of her voice and that she always smelled of lavender. Donnagan doubted if he would even recognize his brothers after so many years.
Donnagan sighed, stood, and started walking towards the only place in Falias he felt save, the stables. Where his beloved horse, the very same horse that had had all those years ago, Aithon would be waiting for him.
“Hey boy,” he said when he walked inside Aithon’s stall.
He ran his hands over the horse’s strong black neck, savoring his moments with Aithon that wasn’t evolving him stealing a human for Fiona. Donnagan felt his hands start to shake against Aithon’s silk like fur and then his knees gave out. He fell to the ground, a scream of devastation on his lips, and in that moment he felt the same fear, loneliness, and loss that he had felt on the day that everything was stolen from him.

wow, I loved this book just as much as I loved The Summoning. The story starts off were book one left off: Chloe, Tori, and Rae have been captured by the Edison Group. Both Chloe and the Group are depsret to find the boys, Derek and Simon (for two very different reasons) Chloe's cunning and smarts were a real enduring feature, and I actually started likinf Tori. Each angle and each turn of the story was so entertaining. The times with Simon and Chloe were so sweet but the Deerk scenes are... well lets justs say I'm team Derek ;D
I hope to read The Reckoning really soon.

I found this book at the library and read it in one night. Grady's story is sad but up lifting. A boy who at only 16 years old was beaten, raped, and left for dead has to learn to get back up. You can really see the struggle in Grady as he leaves his old school for a new one in order to escape the demons of that night. I liked how his confidence grew and the book progressed and how he started opening up to the people who cared about him. The character Jess was very funny, something Grady defently needed. I recomend this book, but beware of the mature sistuation that Grady is put into.

But as she gradually gets to know the other kids at the home–charming Simon and his ominous, unsmiling brother Derek, obnoxious Tori, and Rae, who has a “thing” for fire–Chloe begins to realize that there is something that binds them all together, and it isn’t your usual “problem kid” behaviour. And together they discover that Lyle House is not your usual group home either

Why did I wait so long to read this book? The Summoning is an amazing read, from the very beginning I felt for Chloe. She is fifteen years old girl who is just trying to be normal (and get that oh so wonderful time of the month) when she sees a ghost. Sent away to a mental hospital for teens she meets some very interesting characters. I’ll start with my least favorite: Tori. For most of the book Tori annoyed me she seems like the stereotypical rich girl, but from what I’ve heard I’ll give her a chance. Rae is a fun character and a good bit of comic relief. Now Simon and Derek, I have to say that I love Simon. He’s such a sweet heart. Derek though, he calls to my inner bad boy love radar. There’s something about Derek that makes him so appealing to me. I loved the story from start to finish; I was so mad that it ended on a cliff hanger though that just means a trip to the library or bookstore in the coming week. I give this book an A+
